Cancellations & No Shows

We specialize in personalized pain management care and operate on a cash-pay basis only – we do not accept any insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, or Medi-Cal.

 

To respect your time and ours, we require at least 48 hours' advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling (excluding weekends and holidays). This notice period helps us serve other patients effectively in our limited slots. Cancellations must be made by phone at (669) 667-2467, email to reliefcoordinator@preferredrelief.com, or through our patient portal during business hours.

 

First Time Cancellation/No-Show Fee: If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours' notice, or fail to attend (no-show) your appointment, you will be charged the full cost of the scheduled visit (based on your standard rate for that pain management service type, as outlined in your initial consultation agreement). This fee is payable out of pocket at the time of billing.

 

To support your ongoing care, we will hold this amount as a non-transferable credit toward a future appointment at our clinic. The credit expires 90 days from the date of the missed appointment and cannot be used for no-show fees, medications, or services from third parties. Unused credits are forfeited after 90 days.

 

Subsequent Cancellation/No-Show Fee: If you incur a second cancellation/no-show fee within 12 months of the first (after we notify you in writing of this policy following the initial incident), you will be charged the full visit cost for the second appointments with no credit issued. We reserve the right to require a deposit for future bookings or, in cases of repeated non-compliance, to dismiss you from our practice (per California Business and Professions Code guidelines to avoid patient abandonment). Exceptions may be granted for emergencies, acute pain flares, or unforeseen circumstances at our discretion – please contact us immediately if this applies.

This policy applies to all patients, as our clinic is cash-only and does not bill or accept any insurance or government programs.

 

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you are responsible for full out-of-pocket payment and agree to this policy. We will remind you of it via confirmation email/text and during scheduling calls.
